Mr. Nachamie is an award-winning stage and film director. His work has been seen on Broadway, in NYC, regionally and internationally. He has a passion for developing new works.

On Broadway, he was the Associate Director for the Revival of SHE LOVES ME at Studio 54. The show was telecast on Great Performances / PBS and is available on Broadway HD.

As a Director, his production of A CHORUS LINE won the Olney Theatre Center their first Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Resident Musical in 27 years. He has won awards for Best Musical Production for his productions of RENT, HEDWIG, CHICAGO and WEST SIDE STORY. His film work and music videos have garnered awards across the country.

He has worked and directed such celebrities as Whoopi Goldberg, Zachary Levi, Jane Krakowski, Laura Benanti, Alan Menken, Sutton Foster, John Wesley Shipp, Peter Gallagher, Kaye Ballard, Faith Prince and Nikki M. James.

Mr. Nachamie is also the stage director for THE WITNESS PROJECT (UJA – NY) bringing together first-person accounts of Holocaust Survivors with students who are the ages that the survivors were when the atrocities occurred.

Currently, his adaptation of Noel Alumit’s award winning novel LETTERS TO MONTGOMERY CLIFT is in development for the stage.

As a performer, he toured the world with A CHORUS LINE, EVITA and WEST SIDE STORY.

He is on the faculties of New York Film Academy and the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, and earned his BFA from New York University.
